Hello families!
Thank you for showing interest in our new Trail Life troop. It is encouraging to see so much support. We already have more than 25 interested families! This has all been a long time coming, and I wanted to give you a quick update on the troop.
We are chartered!
The Roseville Trail Life troop has secured charter support and has been pre-approved by Trail Life USA! This means we are one step closer to getting our boys together and meeting regularly.
Our plan is to establish the Trail Life troop alongside the existing Roseville American Heritage Girls (AHG) Troop 77. In fact, many of our initial members have siblings already participating in AHG.
We don’t know all the details yet, but the two troops will meet at the same time and place for regular meetings. This will allow families with sons and daughters to participate in both troops without sacrificing additional family time.
We also expect to share some combined events throughout the year. That said, the two programs are independent and will focus on their specific youth.
What’s next
Now we start the real work of getting a new troop off the ground. We are registering our core leaders, planning our first program year, and preparing for boys to join. If you’d like to be a part of the process, or know a boy interested in the program please fill out our interest form and we will keep you updated.
The official program year will begin in August, but we are planning a soft launch before that to get people aquatinted and establish a base of support. Look out for more information soon about an open house where families can meet the leaders, learn more about the program, and register their boys.
Looking forward to meeting you all soon,
-Stephen Ferrero
